Our 5 Favorite Fashion Week Looks

This past month, New York and Milan hosted their annual Fashion Weeks, where models strutted in designers’ latest wares for Spring 2019. Whether you love or hate the looks from this season, there were plenty of standouts from this month, many of which carried strong messages. With models like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner walking the runway, hundreds of celebrities were able to witness the events front row, including A-listers like Rihanna and Cardi B. Runway shows are perhaps one of the most prestigious events in fashion, where designers can fully indulge in the results of their collections and share them with the world. With so many incredible pieces, by no means can I summarize all the incredible looks that were debuted this past month. Regardless, I’ve selected some of my all-time favorite trends from New York and Milan’s Fashion Week that I want to share with you!

FENDI - Milan

Kendall Jenner strutted does the runway at Milan Fashion Week, rocking the "no pants" trend. Sporting this thigh-grazing, white Fendi zip-up jacket, featuring a pattern made up of the Fendi logo, it’s clear that this trend has the approval of the fashion world.

MICHAEL KORS - New York

Leave it to Michael Kors to bring a colorful collection to Fashion Week. There is no way you could miss the upbeat, Mediterranean theme of these punctual pieces by Michael Kors. These white lace, bell-bottom pants with the matching sunflower printed blouse are the perfect pair.

AIGNER - Milan

Watching the Aigner collection is like taking a trip around the world and in time, since a lot of the collection features oriental inspirations and 70s and 90s influences. This scarlet red pant suit by Aigner is one of the best looks from the runway in Milan, with a touch of netting for flare. Netting of all sorts is emerging as a major trend for Spring 2019, especially fishnet.

MATTHEW ADAMS DOLAN - New York

Designers are doubling down on double denim at NYFW, and this piece by Adams Dolan is one of my favorites. This slouched denim dress, paired with royal blue buckle flats, is totally on trend. Adams Dolan’s collection nodded to one of the hottest looks right now, as denim rebuilds its credibility in the fashion world.

MOSCHINO - Milan

Moschino gets ~sketchy~ with this scribble print, which covered everything from from hats to tights. Kendall Jenner rocked this whimsical, felt-tip streaked Moschino dress, complemented by a matching purse and hat. They say to save the best for last, and, in my opinion, this collection by Franco Moschino shined the brightest on the runway in Milan.

If you didn’t get a chance to follow along with the trends from New York or Milan, don’t worry, because Paris Fashion Week is in full swing! Paris kicked off the finale of Fashion Week earlier last week, with redefined classic looks, like white blouses paired with bold red lipstick. So be sure to tune in to stay up to date with the latest trends, because there’s no other way of knowing what the fashion world is going to proclaim next.

XOXO- Lily
