NOAH SCHNAPP

Listen, you either love the kids from Stranger Things or you just don’t get the hype. No matter how you feel about the bike riding, demogorgon fighting BFFs, there is no denying how cool it is to watch them grow up right in front of our eyes, both onscreen and off. Personally, I tend to be in favor of any man on the red carpet that chooses to forgo the traditional black suit and have some fun with their look. This brings us to number 10 best dressed, Noah Schnapp (aka Will Beyers). This look is right on the line of being high fashion without being too costumey. I’m getting a masculine Cinderella vibe (in the best way possible) and the addition of the ever trendy white sneakers gives it just the right hit of casual. If I, as a 21 year old girl with no fashion experience yet a surprisingly strong opinion, could have one critique, I would advise just one more visit to the tailor to hem those pants. Overall, hem or no hem. Noah Schapps took a risk and his fairy god mothers seemed to be looking out for him because he crushed it.

JENNIFER ANISTON

She is beauty, she is grace, she is Jennifer Aniston. Wait? This isn’t the Friends wrap party 16 years ago? Oh yes I forgot, it’s 2020 and this woman doesn’t age. After her starring role in the Apple TV Original, “The Morning Show,” it would be hard for her to show up and not be praised no matter what she was wearing. Even so, she did not take that risk and chose a stunning clingy satin dress. I guess the braless look was her final nod to the 90s after Friends was unkindly ripped off of Netflix.

EMILY HAMSHIRE

Not only did I include Emily Hampshire so that we could all appreciate this look that makes her look like she stepped out of the set of Enchanted, but consider this your nudge to finally watch Schitt$ Creek. It's really that good. Whether or not you take my advice on TV shows, let's discuss this look. My personal favorite part is the sheer sleeves that are very princess chic. The drama of the textured bottom and the geometric clutch bring a little “Stevie” into the look, while still showcasing Emily Hampshire’s beauty. Even Alexis wouldn't “Ew David!” this look.

 SCARLET JOHANSSON & COLIN JOST

One word: GOALS. I know that was cringey, but they are just so beautiful. If you are not obsessed like me, you may not recognize the name Colin Jost, an SNL cast member and comedian. He and Scarlett Johansson have been together for almost three years now and their red carpet appearances just keep getting better. Scarlet Johansson stuns in emerald, keeping it simple and sleek with the slicked back hairstyle. (Anything is better than the hair do from a marriage story - sorry but if you know, you know) Rumor has it Johansson was “violently ill” a few days prior to the event and even had to cancel a festival appearance. Shocked to say the least.

CHARLIZE THERON

Typically, I’m against the whole black and white color block look because it brings me back to chorus concerts in middle school where a bunch of 12 year olds shoved white old navy tank tops into black skirts they bought the night before. (no? Just me? ...oops) Anyway, silver glitter and black? That is an idea I can get behind. I can see the headlines now: “Charlize Theron makes crop tops cute again!” Her slicked back ponytail lets the look speak for itself without overdoing it. Also, for your viewing pleasure, I have shown this look while simultaneously allowing us to view the beauty that is Brad Pitt. You are welcome.

JULIA BUTTERS

If you have never watched the strange movie that is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, you may not recognize little Julia Butters. She was one of the best parts of the movie, despite being in only one scene. Anyways, (we aren’t here for movie reviews are we?) this glitter suit is everything. Being a newbie to Hollywood and all that the industry entails, she could have easily worn the pink puffy dress her producer probably suggested and no one would’ve taken a second look. Instead, she opted for something that better represented her talent and her style and I for one am in full support. The loose side braid keeps the look youthful and feminine while the tiny purse adds a little Lizzo attitude to the situation. If I haven’t word vomited enough yet: I love her. I love this look. Give her all the awards.

DACRE MONTGOMERY

Don’t ask, I have no idea how to pronounce “Dacre”, but this doesn’t stop me from loving his style. I always look for him on red carpets because he has such a unique look that always makes me interested to see what he is going to do next. Yes, the all white look is nothing new but you have to admit, him just being Dacre Montgomery adds a little something special. His suit fits him to a T (ahem Noah Schapps) and overall I just love it.

KATHRYN NEWTON

I contemplated putting this dress on the list because I was torn between an effortless sunset butterfly vibe and those terry cloth swim cover ups I used to throw on on my way to the ice cream truck. After looking at it from different angles and falling in love with the neon orange color, Kathryn Newton stands firm as number eight on this list. This dress came right off the runway from the Valentino 2020 line. She kept her hair and accessories simple, allowing the dress to shine. I can’t let this one go without reminding everyone that Kathryn Newton is from Big Little Lies and if you haven't watched yet, what could you possibly be waiting for? 

CAMILLA MENDES

Camilla, Camilla, Camilla. Two words: stun ~ ing. If you passed off Camilla Mendes as some teen actor on a little Netflix show, check again. Riverdale has taken off and taken Camilla with it. She looks stunning in this Ralph & Russo couture gown. The cape adds just the right amount of drama without overdoing it.
