Get The Look For Less

This week: Danielle Bernstein aka @weworewhat

Just like everyone else, I’ve spent most of my days recently online shopping and scrolling through my socials. Picture after picture, I see my favorite influencers wearing something and I just have to have it. It’s a problem. The worst part is I click on the link and the bandana on her head is two-hundred dollars. My bank account simply cannot take it anymore, so I found another way, looks for less. It’s a great way to get inspiration from celebs’ style, if not finding exact dupes without the hefty price tag.

Influencers play a big role in the way we live our life today. Not only do they take cute pics with great style, but they also can also be very savvy business women. I think it’s great that women on Instagram are no longer thought of as just a pretty face; they can actually be women we can look to for advice and inspiration. One woman, in particular, is Danielle Bernstein. We all know and love her as @weworewhat on Instagram, and if you haven’t, I HIGHLY suggest you look into her. Not only does she have a unique sense of style, but she has her own clothing line and has recently become a best-selling author.

Her brand, like her Instagram, is called @shopweworewhat and I think it’s the perfect mix of a classic and a modern style. She really does have something for everyone and prides herself on the quality of her clothes. Danielle also puts effort into each piece she posts on her Instagram. Personally, I haven’t bought anything from her yet, but she just came out with a swimsuit line and I definitely have my eye on a few things.

In her book, “This Is Not A Fashion Story,” she tells the story of her life and how she went from being an average teen from Long Island to one of the biggest names in the fashion industry. Through her story, we learn that success doesn’t necessarily come from a college degree, but it comes from fighting for what we want and not being afraid to take a risk. Everyone and their mother are raving about this book, and if you don’t believe me just read some of the reviews.

Danielle Bernstein really is an inspirational woman and I am so excited to show you what looks of hers I can help you get!!

Look #1

I like to call this look casual cowgirl, mostly because of the shoes. I absolutely love this look; it's simple, but the shoes add a wow factor I think we all need. This outfit is perfect for a lunch date with the girlfriends or even a dinner with the fam. On every post, Danielle mentions where everything she is wearing is from, but this girl has some expensive taste. I was able to find the exact shoes she is wearing in this photo, but I also found a cheaper pair that gives off the same vibe and makes the outfit much more practical for the average college student.

Look #2

This look gives me a 90’s feel, especially with the mini shoulder bag. This is a trend I’m loving right now and have a few of my own. Like the last look, this one is also very casual and can be worn anywhere, depending on your shoe choice. For this fit, I couldn’t find any exact dupes, but with the outfit I created you definitely get the same feel.

Look #3

This outfit is super comfy looking and I absolutely NEED it. Neutrals are so trendy right now and this outfit is full of them. She’s definitely going for a monochromatic look with a fully nude-colored look and I am 100% here for it.  Although I couldn’t find an exact set to match Danielle’s, I did find two that are very similar, it’s up to you to decide which you like better. I did find her exact sunglasses that are sadly sold out, but I found a very similar pair that are just as cute, both will be linked below.

Look #4

This look is out there and not for the more reserved dressers. This is a punch of green to the face and I absolutely love it. The biker shorts with the blazer is undeniably a blast from the past, but retro is in, right? My favorite find of this look was the shorts, they are extremely unique and I didn’t think I would find a pair with the same color and material as the OG pair, but thankfully I was wrong. I also found the exact pair of shoes she is wearing in this photo, but in case you're looking for something more affordable, I have another pair linked too!

Now that you know a little bit more about Danielle Bernstein I hope you go check her out and feel free to reach out to any of us @thepointmagazine on Instagram for questions or requests of who you would like to see next week on looks for less!!

Happy Shopping!!

X, Sophia Rainone.
