At the beginning of the school year I realized I needed a lot of clothes; fast and for a cheap price. I needed outfits for both day and night, and I’d pushed off my back-to-school shopping for the very last minute. I had never been the type of person who ordered cheap clothes online, but finally it seemed like the perfect opportunity to give it a try. I went on ROMWE.com, a website many of my friends had suggested. I was astonished that I could buy clothing from a price range of $5 to $10! It almost seemed too good to be true. Being on a college student budget,  I was drawn in, and proceeded to order a mass amount of twenty clothing items. It seemed reasonable when the total only amounted to 70 dollars which is what I would normally spend on only two or three pieces of clothing at a typical store. My summer clothing and going out tops arrived weeks before school, and I was a newcomer to this cheap clothing craze, not knowing what to expect. When I tried on my clothing I was pleasantly surprised, maybe due to the fact that I was expecting the worst. The material was not as cheap as I was expecting, and though I knew these pieces wouldn’t last me a lifetime, they fit well and got the job done.

When autumn rolled around I did the exact same process, bulk ordered clothing, but this time with sweatshirts and joggers. My package arrived at the mailroom and I was hopeful and excited as I had been pleasantly surprised a month earlier in September. This time things did not occur quite as planned. I ordered all my sweatshirts and joggers in extra large, and the items arrived in such a small size it looked as though it could fit a child. Some of the sweatshirts were paper-thin material and couldn’t even pass as T-shirt. To my mistake I had been played by ROMWE.

Whenever it comes to cheap online clothing, it’s hit or miss and it’s certainly a consumer's risk, but from what I have learned, buy cheap clothing in the outfits you desire looking “cheaper in”. When it comes to going out clothing, Romwe has never failed me. This could be due to the fact that these shirts are less material and are intended for less use. When it comes to clothes you plan on wearing everyday, it is okay to drop more money because you know they will be used. It is always fun to scroll through ROMWE and other fast fashion websites believing all this clothing will come as what is shown on screen, but shop at your own risk. You never know and you could be surprised. As long as you’re confident with what's on your body, that's all that really matters!!
